As the D- day is nearing we have more on Endhiran coming out. Now it is about the theme music. AR Rahman who is working on Endhiran songs from London has completed the theme music first at the behest of director Shankar. The theme music comes where ever the Robot Rajni appears. Shankar will plan and film the visual sequences based on the music. The story boards for the sequences are being readied at a frantic pace by the team of Shankar.

Apart from its music Endhiran is also is special for its choreography by Prabhu Deva, lyrics by Vairamuthu, art direction by Sabu Cyril and cinematography by Ratnavelu. Another specialty will be the exclusive sound effects crafted by the Oscar winner Resul Pookutty. Pookutty creates the unique metallic sound effects for the Robot charcter.

Other than the Endhiran team there is one more person who very closely following Endhiran developments right from its scratch. That is the chief minister M. Karunanidhi. He had already enquired about the release date to Rajnikanth many times.

With plans perfect Shankar has allotted six months only for the graphics, animation and other special effects. So the release may be pushed little further than previously expected. Our sources tell us the music will rock in April and the film is a Diwali pleasure.

சூப்பர் ஸ்டாருடன் ஷங்கர் தலைமையில் எந்திரன் குழுவினர் PRE-PRODUCTION மற்றும் மேக்கப் டெஸ்ட்டுக்காக லாஸ் ஏஞ்சல்சில் உள்ள ஸ்டான்வின்ஸ்டன் ஸ்டூடியோவிற்கு எந்திரன் துவங்குவதற்கு முன்பு சென்று வந்ததை பற்றி தனது அனுபவங்களை சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்.

அமெரிக்காவில் லாஸ் ஏஞ்சல்ஸ் நகரில் இருக்கும் பிரசித்தி பெற்ற ஸ்டான்வின்ஸ்டன் ஸ்டூடியோவின் அனிமேட்ரானிக்ஸ் தொழில் நுட்பத்தை இன்டிஹியாவில் முதன்முதலில் பயன்படுத்துவது நம் எந்திரன் படம் தான். ஜூராசிக் பார்க், Terminator, Predator உள்ளிட்ட பல படங்களில் பணிபுரிந்தது இந்த ஸ்டூடியோ தான்.

ஜூலை 2008 ஆம் ஆண்டு, நானும் சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினியும், எந்திரன் குழுவினரும் ஸ்டான்வின்ஸ்டன் ஸ்டூடியோவிற்கு ஸ்கேனிங், மேக்கப் டெஸ்ட் மற்றும் படத்தின் Pre-Production பணிகளுக்காக சென்றிருந்தோம். இதற்காக சில வாரங்கள்அங்கு செலவிட்டோம். ஸ்பீல்பெர்க், ஜேம்ஸ் கேமரூன், அர்னால்ட் போன்றோர் பணிபுரிந்த ஸ்டூடியோவில் நாமும் பணிபுரிவது எங்களுக்கு உண்மையில் மிகப் பெறும் பெருமை.

ஒன்றரை வருடங்களாக நடந்த பயிற்சிக்கு பிறகு, ஸ்டான்வின்ஸ்டன் ஸ்டூடியோவில் இருந்து இங்கு சன் ஸ்டூடியோஸ் செட்டுக்கு வந்து கிட்ட தட்ட நான்கு மாதங்கள் பணிபுரிந்தனர். எந்திரன் படத்தின் கிட்டத்தட்ட 22 காட்சிகள் இந்த அனிமேட்ரானிக்ஸ் தொழில் நுட்பத்தை பயன்படுத்தி சூட் செய்யப்பட்டது.

இதற்காக சூப்பர் ஸ்டாருக்கு விஷேஷ மேக்கப் போடப்பட்டது. பெருமபாலான காட்சிகள் ரஜினி சாரை வைத்து ரியல்லாக ஷூட் செய்தோம். காட்சிகள் தத்ரூபமாக இருக்கவேண்டும் என்பதற்காக இந்த காட்சிகளில் கிராபிக்ஸை பயன்படுத்தாது இந்த அனிமேட்ரானிக்ஸ் தொழில் நுட்பத்தை பயன்படுத்தினோம்.

முடிவில், ஸ்டான்வின்ஸ்டன் ஸ்டூடியோ ஊழியர்கள், அசந்து போய் “அனிமேட்ரானிக்ஸ் தொழில் நுட்பத்தை மிக சரியாக, அநேக இடங்களில் பயன்படுத்தியிருக்கிறீர்கள்” என்று எங்களுக்கு பாராட்டு தெரிவித்தீர்கள். ஹாலிவுட்டில் கூட இது அரிது.

உங்களுக்கு என் பொங்கல் வாழ்த்துக்கள்.

சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினி, ஐஸ்வர்யா ராய் உள்ளிட்ட எந்திரன் குழுவினருடன் தான் என்னுடைய பொங்கல் இருக்கும். ஆம்.. இன்று எங்களுக்கு படப்பிடிப்பு இருக்கிறது.

Most of you have asked about Stanwinston Studios role in Endhiran.

Yes. Endhiran is the first Indian movie to use Stanwinston Studio’s Animatronics technology. We all are proud and happy to be associated with No.1 Hollywood studio who did a great job in movies like Jurassic Park , Predator, Terminator, Ironman and the recent Avatar .

Myself, Rajini sir and our Technical crew have been at Los Angeles for couple of weeks at Stanwinston Studios for scanning, make-up test and preproduction works in July 2008. We all are excited that we are working at the place where Steven Spielberg, James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger have worked.

After 1½ half years of preparatory work a group of top technicians came to Sun Studio’s Chennai sets and worked around for 4 months. 22 scenes of Endhiran Movie have been shot using Animatronics and Special Make-ups. Most of Important scenes was shot lively with Rajini sir using Animatronics without CGI.

At the end of the day Stanwinston people told that they are very happy that Endhiran movie utilized maximum animatronics techniques in so many scenes in all possible ways, which is very rare in Hollywood too… Cool….

AR Rahman’s ‘Endhiran’ Treat With Super 8

Every time , A.R. Rahman fetches an accolade, very few people strike his mind about whom he sings praises of. Firstly, it’s ‘Ella Pugazhum Iraivan Oruvanukke’ (All praise to the Almighty God), followed by his sweet mom. Obviously, Manirathnam and Shankar would be the other personalities to be uttered about.

Indeed, they remain so special and close to Rahman’s heart as he keeps ready with dozens of tunes much before they approach him.

Much alike his previous films with these directors, A.R. Rahman has assured that his ‘Raavana’ and ‘Endhiran’ will be certainly gratifying.

Buzzes are that the academy award winner has roped in 8 best singers from Mumbai for crooning a song in Rajnikanth starrer ‘Endhiran’. Much impressed with the song, director Shankar and art director Thota Tharani have grandiosely erected mind-boggling sets to can this song.

Our sources report that Rajinikanth has done a daring stunt sequence in Endhiran, which was choreographed by stunt director Peter Heins. This fight scene has been shot in Lonavala near Mumbai.

According to our source, Rajini took part in the powerful fight scene that was shot on a train. The exotic location in which the train fight was shot will add attraction to the film.

Endhiran’s lead lady, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was also present during the shoots. The film, it must be mentioned here, is directed by Shankar and produced by Sun Pictures.

இந்திய சினிமாவுக்கு எந்திரன் வேறு ஒரு நிறத்தைத் தரும்! – ஷங்கர்

நிறைவுக் கட்டத்தை எட்டிவிட்டது எந்திரன் படப்பிடிப்பு. பிரம்மாண்டமான கோடை விடுமுறை விருந்தாக இந்தப் படம் வரும் என சன் பிக்சர்ஸ் அறிவித்துள்ளது. அந்த அறிவிப்புப்படி பார்த்தால் ரிலீசுக்கு இன்னும் 6 மாதங்கள்தான் உள்ளன.

“நவம்பரில் முழுமையாக முடிந்துவிடும். நன்றாக வந்திருக்கிறது. தமிழ் சினிமாவுக்கு என்றில்லை… இந்திய சினிமாவுக்கே இந்தப் படம் வேறு ஒரு நிறத்தைத் தரும்” என்று சுருக்கமாக முடித்துக் கொண்டார் ஷங்கர்.

இப்போது எந்திரனுக்காக ஷங்கர் படமாக்க வேண்டியது இரண்டு பாடல் காட்சிகள் மற்றும் பேட்ச் வொர்க் காட்சிகள் சில மட்டுமே.

சமீபத்தில் படமாக்கி முடிக்கப்பட்ட முக்கியமான காட்சிகளுள் ஒன்று, வசீகரன் ரஜினியும், ரோபோ ரஜினியும் மோதிக் கொள்ளும் காட்சி. இதற்கு முன் ரஜினியின் எந்த படத்திலும் இடம் பெறாத அளவு மிகச் சிறப்பான தொழில் நுட்ப உத்திகளைச் சேர்த்து எடுத்துள்ளார்களாம். இந்தக் காட்சி எப்படி வந்துள்ளது என்று தெரிந்து கொள்வதில் ரஜினியே தீவிர ஆர்வம் காட்டினாராம்.

பாடல்கள் என்றதும் இன்னொரு விஷயத்தையும் குறிப்பிட வேண்டும்: ஏஆர் ரஹ்மான் இந்தப் படத்திலும் ரஜினிக்கென்று ஸ்பெஷல் தீம் மியூசிக்கை ஒரு நிமிட அதிரடி பாடலாகவே தந்துள்ளாராம்.
