The First thing that I believe has to be said is that 2007 has probably been the best or at least one of the best years in videogames. Well you got Bio Shock, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty Four, a little something called Halo 3, God of War 2, Mass Effect, and Super Mario Galaxy(which I believe is rightfully and deserving Game of The year). Videogames to me are treasures that has become a part of my life. Assassin's Creed is one such Treasure. First Released on November 13th 2007 in North America by Ubisoft for the Xbox360 and PS3. I have the 360 version. The game had a lot of hype going for it, and although some call it a major disappointment, I personally think it lived up to all of the hype, and I think its one of those special games that has to be experienced if your a fan of the industry. Lets start with the story. It has an excellent, mature story that is very easy to understand. Its not complicated for the most part. You know whats going on and you know what you have to do next. I will not get into or divulge any of the story, because I believe with this certain type of game, you shouldn't know anything about it before you play. Rest assured though, the story is indeed admirable, and satisfying. Gameplay is very fun. Which to me at the end of the day with videogames, no matter what the story is or how adult and serious the themes are, or how much the developers wanted certain aspects to be challenging and frustrating. At the end of the day, a video game is supposed to be fun. Thats what there meant to do. Be Entertaining and fun. In Assassin's Creed combat and climbing are very well put together and I can see how in the sequel, because there more than likely will be one, the roaming, the climbing and the fighting and all that stuff will be even better. In the combat aspect I really love the counter kill moves that you can do. Its just really cool looking. Let me tell you, climbing and jumping around buildings never gets old. The Graphics in this game are superlative, few are better. Assassin's Creed and the in game environments are absolute eye Candy. All in all and overall you can't go wrong with Assassin's Creed. As my friend put it, the game is tight. I call it hands down a must own work of art. Beautiful game
